Can it be used for multi-cat households?

Yes! It can be used for a multi-cat household. The toilet area can fill up to 7L of litter at once and can be clean a minimum of once a week.

Can my cat get stuck inside?

The litter box has 12 safety sensors that initiate when a cat enters or leaves the litter box. When a cat approaches the litter box, all sensors stop and allow it to enter. You will get a notification or text message anytime there is activity.

Can we use the Purrclean Smart Litter Box without connecting it to the Application?

Yes, you can use Purrclean manually, and the features on the Application are not accessible.

How often do I need to refill my cat litter?

One bag of 6L of litter can be used for 14 days. The device will also notify you to refill litter through the Instachew Infinity App notifications.

How stable is the Purrclean self cleaning cat litter box?

The Purrclean sits on four legs offering stability with a non-slip bump under its feet. The litterbox is 14.51 kg (about 32 lbs). It is also heavier when using litter.

How to unbind the Purrclean automatic litter box?

The device is not yet setup on the Instachew Application:
  • Press and hold the lock icon on the digital screen's left side until you hear a prompt.

  • Then press and hold the icon on the digital screen's right side until you hear a prompt.

  • Once complete, open the Instachew App and start the setup process.

I'm having a hard time connecting my device to my Network.

Please ensure the below steps are followed prior to connecting:

Please ensure that your phone's software is up to date.

Please ensure you are using the correct App ( Instachew infinity)

Please ensure that you accept all permissions when using the app.

 

NOTE: On certain Android devices, navigate to your phone's settings, select "Apps," locate the Instachew Infinity App, open its permissions, find "Nearby devices," and grant the permission by selecting "Allow."

 

Initial Set-up, follow these steps:

  1. The Purrclean resets itself when you plug it in;

  2. Please wait until that reset is complete and "0 USES TIMES '' displays on the screen

  3. Make sure the device is unlocked. Long press the child lock button for about 5 seconds until you hear a beep, indicating successful unlocking.

  4. Press and hold the menu button to the right for about 10 seconds, and there will be a beep sound, and the WiFi icon will flash quickly to configure the network.

  5. Click 'Go to Add' and select permissions to allow access to location and enable Bluetooth.

  6. Choose the device, enter your WiFi password, and click 'Next'. Wait for the device to be connected, and then you can control it through your mobile phone from anywhere.

What if my cat's stool is soft? Can it be cleaned?

A silicon layer inside the barrel of the litter box deforms when it rolls and separates waste. This layer solves the issue of soft stools sticking to the inside of the litter box. The layer is detachable so that you can easily clean it. To remove it, remove the litter box lid and take it out.

What are the Purrclean's dimensions from the ground to the entry hole?

It is 9 inches, and the entrance hole is also more prominent in diameter.

What types of litter do you recommend?

Any clumping litter, such as bentonite, mixed and tofu litter.

 NOTE: No need to change your cat litter habits

Where do I find the power cord?

The power cord can be found in the Styrofoam placed under the drum. You’ll need to take out the drum first to be able to view it.

What should I do if I receive an E11 error?

Try removing the drum, placing it back, and making sure that everything is in the right position and the gears and clips are aligned. Most times this prevents the device from working properly

Please also ensure that you are using the provided waste bag, take out the tray, and install the pressure ring correctly

After a few days, even if the drawer is not full, my entire house begins to smell like pee.

Schedule extra scooping five to six times per day to help with the odor problem. 

Additionally, the device will automatically deodorize while it is cleaning, and depending on the situation, frequent deodorization can be performed which will solve the odor issue.

Manual scooping initiated 30-35 seconds into the countdown. So there’s a big delay.

Unplug and re-plug the adapter to allow it to reset itself. Now, whe you press Manual Schoop, it will initiate right away.

How to Introduce your Cat to the Purrclean Smart Litter Box

Introducing a new litter box to a cat can be a challenging task, as cats can be very particular about their litter boxes. Here are some tips to entice your cat to use the new litter box:

  1. Consider putting the new box exactly where the old one was.

  2. Use scent to entice them. Add a scoop of litter from the old litter box.

  3. Make it attractive: Use toys and treats. Place treats around the Purrclean. Scatter treats in the area with her litter box.

  4. Install everything but don't plug it in right away, make sure your cat goes in without being scared of the sound and when they are used, then you leave it..

  5. Encourage use: Show your cat the new litter box and encourage them to use it by placing them in it after meals or when they show signs of needing to use the litter box.

  6. Be patient: It may take some time for your cat to get used to the new litter box. If they continue to use the old box, keep it available for a few weeks until they are completely comfortable with the new one.

What does the error "Please Clean the Dustbin" or "Bin Obstructed" mean?

Please try the following steps below:

1. Check if the litter bag is completely full. 2. Carefully inspect the litter box for any obstructions between the box and the bottom that may hinder movement. 3. Empty the litter bag entirely before proceeding.

 

Next, follow these steps:

1. Completely empty the litter box and replace it with a fresh bag. 2. Perform a dry run by adding a couple of scoops of litter to see if the error message persists. 3. If the error message doesn't appear with just two scoops of litter, gradually increase the amount until the error is triggered.

Why do I keep getting the error message "Stop cleaning up ( Check the bottom )"

Empty and clean the dustbin manually.

1.Unplug the device.

2.Remove and clean the drum.

3.Place the drum back, ensuring gears and clips are properly aligned.

4.Check the bottom tray for any leftover litter.

NOTE: Even though the tray mostly captures litter, a small amount reaching the bottom can cause occasional errors.

What pets can safely use the Purrclean Smart Litter box?

The Purrclean Smart Litter Box is only suitable for pets that are at least 6 months old and weigh at least 2.5kgs

Are the voice recordings customized?

Yes there is a voice recording feature available and it can be set manually.

How far does night vision mode reach?

The Purechew Snack has a night vision mode covers a distance of 5-8m allowing you to monitor where your pets are accurately.

Do I have to recurrently set an automatic schedule to feed my pets?

Not necessarily. The Instant Feed function allows you to feed your pet immediately so they don't remain hungry for too long.

Does it have motion sensors?

Yes. Purechew Snack has motion detection sensors, allowing you to survey the movements around the device and giving you notifications on your phone when something raises concerns or when your pets are around.

How do you open the Purechew Mix?

Slide the lid to the right to open. There are directions on the lid to show OPEN and CLOSE lid.

How do you record your own voice?

Hold and press the left button to record your own voice. Release button to finish recording.

How do you reset the Purechew Mix?

Hold the right button 4-5 seconds to reset the voice and unbind the device. This is a complete reset of the device, so it will need to be added again onto the app.

What does the TRACKER function in the app do?

It provides you the present day and entire week intake of the pet.

What does the FEED NOW function in the app do?

The Feed Now function allows the customer/user to disperse 10g of kibble.

Can I use wet food in the Purechew Mix?

The Purechew Mix five meals Feeder has been designed to accommodate both dry and wet food. Additionally, you can place cold water or ice below the food tray to ensure your pet's food is kept fresh.

What does the SCHEDULE function do in the app?

You can set a timer with this function if you are away from home to feed.

If the device stops rotating, what are resolutions?

a. First resolution is to check the timer, if it can be reset. If the timer is working correctly, but the device is not rotating, then the device is defective.

b. Try manual buttons on the device for a reset to establish if the device is functional or defective.

Is it plugged in or can it run on batteries?

A power bank, an outlet, or batteries can all be used to power the feeder.

Not possible, it has to be evenly distributed.

The body is not washable, and recommended to take out the turntable and wipe it with a wet tissue.

How do I quickly reconnect after the smart pet feeder is disconnected?

  • Exit the App and re-enter, wait for the data to update

  • Switches from the feeding interface to the video interface and waits for the video to refresh.

The auto pet feeder is not connected. What is the problem, and how can I fix this?

  • Check the status of the device indicator; after the power is turned on, the blue light indicator flashes. When the network is connected, it will be on. There will be a tone before the network is configured.

  • Check if the Wi-Fi username and password are correct.

  • Uninstall the Instachew Application and reinstall it after you restart your Phone.

Why does the feeding time differ by tens of seconds from the current time?

  • The parameters set on the App will have an error of about 30 seconds, depending on the timing of the network environment.

Is it battery powered?

Yes, the device has a dual power supply system that can also operate using four AA batteries.

It cannot be rotated, it can only be slightly bent right and left, front and back. Or to move the camera manually.

Does the smart pet camera need to be plugged in at all times to work?

It has to be plugged in at all times. It is powered by USB, so you can also use a power bank or anything that can provide power via USB for convenience.

How to insert an SD card?

To insert the SD Card, you need to move the Camera up. To do so, please follow the instructions below:
  • Go to direction control on the INSTACHEW INFINITY App;

  • Move the Camera Lens up using the direction arrows;

  • Once the Camera Lens is up, the SD slot will appear;

  • Before Inserting the SD Card, please unplug your Camera Lens (after it has moved up);

  • Insert your SD Card;

  • Replug your Camera.

I am traveling and will bring the smart pet camera with me. Should I need to create a new account?

No new accounts are required. Kindly follow the steps below:
  • Unbind your Puresight 360 from the Instachew Infinity App;

  • Once at the new location, connect to the 2.4G Wifi;

  • Press and hold the reset button at the back of the device and wait until the Puresight rotates;

  • Go through the usual setup process and use the device in the new location.

I'm unable to connect my device to my Wi-Fi network.

Kindly consider the things below:
  • Ensure that the software on your phone is up to date;

I put an SD Card in the smart pet camera, and it's not connecting.

The Puresight 360 Camera will NOT connect if you put the SD Card in before trying to connect the device to the APP. So please ensure that there is no SD Card inside when connecting the device to the app.

Is it possible to lower the speaker's volume?

All app uses the same volume that is set on the phone. You may adjust it through your phone.

The video does not show the correct time.

Ensure the device is up to date to get the correct time zone. Kindly follow the steps below on how to:

1) Open the Infinity Instachew Application, then click the settings on the item.

2) Look for the Device Update and ensure it is up to date.

What is the capacity of the SD Card?

The maximum SD Card capacity that the camera can take is 128 GB.

NOTE: Old videos are automatically deleted after 10 days to make room for new ones. One day of recording is about 2.5 to 3 Gb. 

Why is there a screeching echo on the speaker?

It’s normal to have an echo if it’s in the same room; there should be no echo if in a different room.

What does the Private Mode do?

Private mode allows you to see photos captured by the camera. When it is OFF, it blocks the camera from being seen. It just sets up a static, frozen image. When it is ON, it allows you to see pictures.

Why is the video in black and white?

If the surroundings are dark or insufficient light, the camera immediately switches to night mode; if the surroundings are well-lit, it automatically switches to color.

Is a subscription required to use any of the features, such as clip recording or playback?

Our Puresight 360 Camera does not require a subscription to view the recordings or use the amazing features that our product has to offer.

Place a Micro SD card (NOT INCLUDED ) in the Puresight 360 to automatically record videos and allow you to play back the recorded footage.

NOTE: The videos are automatically deleted after 10 days to make room for new ones so please make sure to save them on your computer if you need to keep them.

Can I control my Purechew Smart Pet Feeder from my Ipad?

Yes, download the Instachew Infinity App from the Appstore and login your Instachew account.

How do I clean my Purechew Smart Pet Feeder?

To clean the food tray:

Remove the tray by pressing the clips on the other sides. You can wash it by hand or place it in the dishwasher.

 

To clean the inner food bin:

Remove the bin from the inside of the device, and wash it by hand. Ensure that it is dry before placing it back in the machine.

 

How does the portion control setting work in grams?

The feeder has a cup measuring system that estimates the grams per cup.. Serving sizes are from 10-80 grams per serving.

I am trying to set up my Purechew Automatic Pet Feeder at a different location, which is not working. What do I do?

Since you initially set up the device at your previous location, you will have to unbind it, reset the device, and go through the connection process again. Follow these steps:
  • Go to the Instachew app and log in to your account.

  • In the menu (three strips at the top right corner of the app), click "Device Management". Then, press "Unbind".

  • Press and hold the "Set" button on the Instachew Smart Pet Feeder for 15 seconds.

  • Follow the instructions in your Instructions Manual, and you should be connected.

I've received a notification saying, "Feed incomplete, please try again", what do I do?

This indicates that there is an issue that you will need to investigate by doing the following:

  • On the Instachew Infinity App, go to "Instant Feeding" and dispense two or three portions. Wait and see if the notification pops up again. If not, then you have corrected the problem. If you see the notification, then go to step 2.

  • Manually remove the food bin from inside the feeder. Empty the bin until you have access to the fins. Manually rotate the fins until the jam is clear. Place the bin back in the device and test by dispensing two or three portions. If the problem persists, please contact service@instachew.com. We will gladly provide you with further assistance.

My Purechew Smart Pet Feeder has the status "Offline". What does this mean?

Things need to be considered:
  • If you moved your Purechew Smart Pet Feeder to a new location, it would need to be connected to the Wi-Fi at the new site. The feeder will need to be set up again.

  • Someone may have accidentally pressed the "set" button on the device. This will cause it to reset. The feeder will need to be set up again.

  • In the app, you may have clicked on "Unbind" on the device management page. This will cause your device to unbind from your home connection. It will need to be set up again.

Why does the video be in Night Vision Mode?

If the ambiance is dark, the camera switches to night mode, and if the ambiance is well lit, the camera will automatically be in HD mode.

What is the capacity of the compatible SD Card?

The device will be able to support 8GB to 64GB memory SD cards.

What batteries does the automatic pet feeder require?

The Purechew Smart Pet Feeder takes three Type D batteries.  

Will my scheduled feeding work if my internet goes out?

Yes. The scheduled feeding will work as long as it was set up before being disconnected from the internet. For extra peace of mind, we recommend placing three D cell batteries in the device in case of a power outage. The device will continue to work for at least two weeks with the scheduled feeding, but you will not have access to the video and audio functions.

Does it go in a straight line?

No, it does not go in a straight line as it is meant to be to tease the cat. So, to make it easy to control via phone and let the cat play with it in specific areas, it is manufactured not to move in a straight line.

Can I control the mouse from a very far distance?

No. To operate it, the device being used must be close to the toy as it works with Bluetooth. The operational proximity depends on the general area covered by the device's sensitivity to Bluetooth.

Is the tail replaceable?

Yes. The tail is replaceable and it can be removed by twisting it.

Is it possible to use it without the app?

No, It can only be utilized via the app and cannot be used manually.

Is the power bank included in the package?

No. The power bank and the power source are not included in the purchase package. Customers need to purchase that separately.

Yes. Both are adjustable and can be set automatically, which ensures ideal temperatures for your pets.
